THE ONE FOR ME
Chapter 12

It was the evening of her senior prom before Samantha saw Druex and he had to pull some strings for that. The boys had been busy with making appearances and then the album dropped so they had to do promotion for that but Druex had made it known that he would be taking his girl to her senior prom. There was no way he was going to take some other chick to her prom for promotion and then ditch his own girl on her special day. They had talked over the phone so that they could discuss the colors they were wearing and Samantha was excited because Prom, which was on a Thursday, was basically the end of her high school career because they had graduation that Saturday and seniors didn't have to attend school Friday unless they had a last minute exam.

At the moment Samantha had on her one-strap white floor length Gucci dress that was fit to show her curves as well as part of the skin of the left side of her waist. Her hair was swept back into an elegant bun and her make up was done elegantly to look natural. She grabbed her platinum and diamond encrusted necklace that was made to look like a wreath. She clipped it securely before putting in her matching drop earrings and searched through her jewelry box for the bracelet that Druex purchased for her a couple of months ago for her birthday. It was a beautiful circular and princess cut diamond patterned tennis bracelet on a platinum setting. She clipped it on and slid on one of her 'right hand rings' before sitting on the edge of her bed and took out her tan reptile skinned open toed Gucci sandals.

She slipped her dainty foot in each sandal before walking over to the mirror to give herself a once over. She smiled at her reflection before lightly spraying on her Chanel perfume and picking up the tan Gucci clutch that matched her shoes perfectly. She had just begun to slip her necessities into her purse when the doorbell rang. She yelled to her mother to get it as she began to put the last of her things in her purse. She faintly heard the door open and close before she picked up her pocket book and headed to the living room where she suspected Druex was waiting.

As she walked it she immediately paused when she took Druex in. He was standing by the door in a white suit, which was tailored by her father's tailor so that it fit him perfectly. His shoes were tan reptile skinned Stacey Adams and a tan silk tie lied perfectly down the center of his white dress shirt. A tan silk handkerchief was folded perfectly into his lapel and his diamond studs sparkled in his ears. He smiled warmly at her and kissed her briefly on the lips before slipping his white fedora back over his neatly styled ponytail and ran a finger over the tan silk strip that circled the base of it.

"You look handsome," Samantha replied as she clutched the dozen white and yellow roses he'd handed her, noticing that he was wearing the bracelet that she had sent him for his birthday.

"And you look as beautiful as always," he responded.

They took a couple of pictures together for her mother before leaving and riding the white stretch limo down to Nobu for dinner. The drive was a comfortable one and as soon as they walked in they were seated in a secluded section and began to look over the menu. They had just gotten their drinks and were waiting for their drinks when Samantha noticed that Druex was fidgeting.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Samantha asked after a moment of observing him.

He looked up at her and she immediately noticed his nervousness before he answered, "I need to ask you something."

"Okay," Samantha answered.

"We've been together for the better part of two years and I can honestly say I love you and I don't see that changing," he started, "We've been through the paparazzi, the group's mini break up and us reuniting again. You've even dealt with Chris and his shit so what I'm saying is...I love you more and more each day and I would be honored if you'd become my wife."

"Are you asking me to marry you?" Samantha asked shocked.

Druex just nodded his head. Samantha reached over the table, grabbed his face, and pulled it to her before kissing him passionately on the lips before saying, "Yes. I'd love to be your wife."

Druex smiled widely before taking a black velvet box out of his pocket and opening it, revealing a six and a half carat radiant cut yellow diamond ring. He took it out of the box and slipped it on her left ring finger. He leaned in and kissed her again before paying the bill and leading her out of the restaurant.

Samantha leaned into him in the back of the limo and stared at the ring for a bit before looking up at him and asking him, "Why now? Why me?"

"Because I know that you're the one," he replied softly.

It was a whirlwind after Samantha's prom. After talking to her parents and getting them to accept the fact that she was married and that she was pushing for a summer wedding, they thought it was too quick and that they were too young to be rushing into things. But Samantha explained that August 12th was the best day for the wedding because it was on the only concrete week that the boys had off and it would leave them enough time for a honeymoon before she started college.

With her mother's help and a fabulous wedding planner Samantha's dream wedding was prepared in a record setting three months. Her dress was tailor fit, along with her bride's maid's dresses and Druex and his boys would be looking amazing in their tailored Armani suits.

"I can't believe my baby is getting married," Samantha's mother replied as Samantha walked out in her white gown.

Samantha just smiled and offered her mother her tiara as she said, "Can you help me with this ma?"

Her mother grabbed the pearl and silver tiara and slipped it carefully into her hair before moving back and taking her daughter in. She covered her face with her hands and Asia walked over in her simple champagne colored dress and hugged Samantha before speaking.

"I'm so happy for you girl. I can't believe it, though. In less than two hours Samantha Van Buren won't exist anymore. There'll only be Samantha Fredericks," she replied with a smile.

Before Samantha could respond the music started and Asia, along with Shadae and Kia, grabbed their white tulip and pink rose bouquet's, and headed over to the door so that they could start the wedding march. Samantha smoothed her hands over her crystal and pearl earrings before making sure her necklace was straight as the flower girl made her way down the aisle. Her father came over to her and offered her his arm. Samantha wrapped her arm around his before grabbing her bouquet of white tulips.

"This is it baby," he said.

"I know daddy and I just want you to know that I love Druex with all my heart and I know that he will take care of me," Samantha said as they headed out the door.

"I know he will. He's a good man," he replied as the two of them walked down the aisle.

Flashes went off once Samantha's far gave her away. Both Samantha and Druex said their own vows, love shining clear in their eyes and everyone there knew that their love was real and would last a lifetime.
