GOOD GIRL
Chapter 2

Marissa

I had finished jotting down the final revisions of my scholarship essay when my personal line went off. I reached across my desk and grabbed the cordless and answering it with a polite hello.

"So what is this I hear about you not coming to my party?" the familiar tone my best friend asked over the line.

"Well hello to you too Corey," I replied with a dry tone as I opened the file on my computer and began to make the decided corrections.

"For real though," he started. "Why can't you come out tonight?"

"You know why," I told him.

"Let your mother know you're chilling with me. She won't stress your curfew," he replied.

Truthfully Corey and I were close as hell and my mother loved him like the son she never had. If there was anyone my mother would bend the rules for it would be Corey but even that was taking it a bit too far. Honestly, I think she harbored some inner thought of the two of us getting together but sorry for her that wasn't about to happen. Corey was my brother in every sense of the word and besides it be so completely wrong for the two of us to ever take our relationship to that level, I loved his girlfriend. Kadijah was just one of the realest people I knew and didn't take his bullshit.

Corey was the typical view of high school perfection. He was attractive, great in his sport of choice, smart, and (most importantly) he was confident in himself and his abilities. I can't even begin to speak, or think, about the amount of females who'd given me flack because they thought I was standing in their way. They eventually realized that I wasn't the problem since I didn't date anyone in the school. That, and Kadijah let it be known who she was and what her position was in Corey's life.

"Even if she would, and we both know that is a stretch, I have things to do and deadlines to meet," I told him.

"You're coming to my party tonight," he replied in finality. "If I have to come get you, I swear, there are going to be problems."

"I'm scared," I replied in an unemotional tone to let him know that I didn't take him seriously.

"Are you doubting me?" he asking in a tone that told me to say yes so that he could prove how wrong I was in my assumption.

"Are you blackmailing me?" I replied, bypassing his question with one of my own.

"That's exactly what I'm doing," he replied. "I'll see you at the Diamond Lounge in a few hours."

With that said he ended the call. I rolled my eyes and placed the phone beside me so that I could get my work done. With him giving me the ultimatum I had no choice but to ask my mother for permission to leave the house and she wouldn't say yes unless I finished what I was working on. An hour later I saved what I'd written and printed out a copy before heading into my mother's office to ask her if I could go out.

"Come in!" her voice called out after I'd knocked on the closed door. I walked into her office and stood by the door as she turned from the flat screen of her computer and turned her green eyes on mine. "What can I do for you?"

"Corey called me and told me he was having a get together and I was wondering if I could go," I replied as I bit my bottom lip expecting her to say no.

"Have you mailed off those college applications like I told you to?" she question.

          "Yes mam," I answered.

"And you finished your essay for that Mercedes scholarship?" she asked evenly.

"Its right here," I replied waving the five page essay at her.

"Let me see," she replied as she held out her hand.

She pushed her reading glasses higher and quickly read through it, marking out a few things and replacing it with a few lines she thought would flow better before handing it back. "Retype this and then you can go. You know your curfew so make it home by that time."

"But it's a Friday," I replied as if she didn't know. "Can I stay out a little later?"

"Do you or do you not want to go out tonight?" she questioned.

"I'll be home by one," I replied with a sigh before turning to leave her office.

Corey

It was a little after eleven and the party was in full swing. My father had given me permission to throw the party in the Diamond Lounge of his hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Everyone who was anyone in my side of the world was here and living it up. I'd yet to run into Marissa but I would give her another couple of minutes before I head to her house and drag her ass out. I swear if it wasn't for me she'd stay cooped up in that house with her work-a-holic mother.

"So I'm here," Marissa's voice rang out as she made her presence known.

I glanced over to where her voice was coming from to see her walking over in a pair of extremely low slung denim jeans and a cropped long sleeved gray shirt that matched her high heeled pumps perfectly. She took a seat on one of the couches next to me and crossed her legs before asking me what was up.

          "It's a party Rissa. Dance," I ordered.

"You made me come over here talking about you had blackmail material," she started, "so share. What information do you have on me?"

"That's for me to know and you to wonder about," I replied and gave her a wink before walking off to find my girl.

Alejandro

I headed over to the 'VIP' section Corey had closed off and saw Marissa sitting on the couch messing with her phone. I bypassed a few people but paused when I saw Marissa standing from the lavish sofa lining the wall. She seemed to be making her way to the dance floor but happened to pass me along the way. Seeing as it was crowded no one paid attention when she moved to pass me but paused instead of heading directly to the dance floor. She leaned towards me and her lips brushed my ears and she parted her lips and began to speak.

"¿Usted piensa tan que usted puede satisfacerme?"
(So you think you can please me?)

It took me a moment to realize that she was answering my question from earlier that day. I smirked and licked my lips before saying, "Bebé, no pienso que puedo. Sé que puedo y así que hágale. No sé porqué usted juega estos juegos."
(Baby, I don't think I can. I know I can and so do you. I don't know why you play these games.)

She laughed before swirling her tongue leisurely around my ear before saying, "El temor, no actúa como ése. Usted sabe que usted tiene gusto de mis juegos. Además, usted es el que esta' en la relación. No yo."
(Awe, don't act like that. You know you like my games. Besides, you're the one in the relationship. Not me.)

I snorted at that before saying, "Por favor, no soy el tratar uniforme de esa muchacha como eso. Además, usted es el que esta' con la reputación para guardarme no. Y no soy Marissa estúpido, yo sé sobre su hombre."
(Please, I'm not even dealing with that girl like that. Besides, you're the one with the reputation to keep not me. And I'm not stupid Marissa, I know about your man.)

She backed up and gave me a wry look before reverting back to English. "You obviously don't know as much as you think you do." With that said she turned around immersed herself in the crowd.

Marissa

"And where the hell were you last night?" Corey asked me as he met me at the Boys and Girls club.

"You know I have a curfew," I told him before waving goodbye to one of the kids I tutored.

"You need to live a little," he replied as I bypassed my car and headed towards his sport's car.

"Oh believe me," I replied with an indulgent smirk, "I do." He paused from turning on the ignition to stare at me before smiling and telling me to come out with it. "What?" I asked feigning ignorance.

He cut on the car and sped onto the main road. "Please, this is me you're talking to," he replied. "So what did you do? No," he replied stopping me from responding, "better yet, who did you do?"

"Are you implying that I'm promiscuous?" I questioned, slightly amused.

"Please, your face show be beneath the word," Corey retorted.

I laughed and said, "You're damn right. It was no one you'd know though. Just some chick in hospitality."

"What I wouldn't have given to be a fly on that wall," Corey mumbled. He'd always been into girl on girl action and when he'd found out that I was bi-sexual he'd been all smiles. Almost immediately he'd tried to get me to hook him up with a few females I knew who were down. He was all for a ménage et toi. "Yo, people would shit bricks if they knew what you were really like."

"Which is why I keep my impeccably crafted image in place," I replied as he pulled into a quaint Mexican restaurant.

I was responding to a text message I'd just been sent when my mother knocked on my door. Before I had a chance to respond she cracked it open and stuck her head inside.

"Did you want something?" I questioned as I placed my phone to the side.

"I'm going out," she commented although she didn't even need to say that; her little black dress and Cavalli heels said it all.

"Have fun," I replied with a large smile. My mother shook her head and waved me off before heading downstairs where my 'Aunt' Patrice was waiting with a few more of their mutual friends.

I waited until I was sure my mother was a good distance from my door before grabbing my phone and dialing the guy I'd been text-ing for the last could of hours. It didn't take look for a meeting place to be set up and with that time and place in mind; I locked my phone and headed into my closet to find something...appropriate to wear.

Elyse

I was talking to my mother about taking a trip to New York to check out a few colleges when my brother came down the stairs while cursing someone out in rapid Spanish. "Fuck it! Call me when you have your shit together," he growled before closing his phone and stuffing it in the back pocket of his Evisu jeans. He grabbed the Evisu hoodie he'd worn earlier and shrugged it over his white wife beater before turning his attention to my mother who asked where he was going.

"I'm going out Kalia," he replied before leaning down to kiss her cheek. "I'll be in later."

"When? You know your father likes to us to have family dinners," she replied.

"Like his ass is ever on time anyway," he replied with a shrug of his shoulders.

Marissa

I parked my car in the parking lot of the Aladdin Hotel & Casino and waited until I caught sight of the personalized plates on a familiar black SLK 55 Mercedes Benz. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my lips and opened the driver's side of my car and stepped out, balancing myself on my high heels, before walking over to the car. The lock on the passenger side door immediately popped and I slipped it before turning to look at the man beside me.

"It took you long enough," I replied as I leaned back against the butter soft pecan colored leather seats.

"Just shut up and ride," he replied before switching gears and speeding out of the parking lot.

We drove to the outskirts of Vegas and I glanced at him curiously when he pulled up to this house damn near in the middle of nowhere. I shrugged off the oddity of the situation and followed him inside of the house. I was shocked to find that while the outside looked like an average log cabin, the inside was laid out and furnished with the latest amenities. It was like the ultimate bachelor pad.

I wasted no time. As soon as the front door was closed and locked I unbuttoned my leather hoodie and tossed it to the floor before tossing my hair to the side to reveal the black and white lace La Perla bra I had covering my breast and the extreme low fit of my jeans. The bra made the most of my C-cups and I could tell by his expression that he enjoyed the view.

"You get straight to the point, huh?" he asked rhetorically as he made his way towards me.

"We both know why I called you Ali," I spoke as I slipped my index and middle finger through one of his belt loops and pulled him towards me, "and it wasn't to shoot the breeze."

"What would your boyfriend say?" he questioned.

"We've gone through that already Alejandro," I replied with exasperation. "Besides," I replied as I leaned into him and captured his lips in a soft, yet tempting kiss, "even if I had a boyfriend, how he felt would be none of your concern. All that should matter is what is going on between me and you."

He stared at me for a moment before nodding his head and asking me what I want. I snorted and said, "I thought that would be obvious Ali. You made all that talk about you pleasing me better than the next man could so I'm here to take you up on that offer. Are you down or what?"

Alejandro stared at me for a moment and then pushed me against the wall and positioned my wrists above my head and leaned down so that his lips were next to my ears and began to lightly whisper in my ear, "Esta noche, usted averiguará por qué las mujeres se quedan bajo mí."
(Tonight, you will find out why women stay up under me.)

I slow smile took over my features as I responded with, "El más seguramente espero tan."
          (I most certainly hope so.)
